We celebrate these wonderful, strong, incredible, powerful women who do so much, who already already the backbone of our community, by society, and of us. And today, on this day, we celebrate you, Mother, We celebrate you. Happy Mother's Day to all of the wonderful mothers out there. Now, I'm not trying to throw shade when i say this, so I'm a prefacing by saying that.

1:30 So I'm not trying to throw shade when I say this. But what I'm saying, mother, I'm not singing just for a woman who's given birth to a child and then that's it. Hasn't gone done anything beyond that. No, Now I salute you from being a birth mother, for all that you endure to bring a child into this world. Now I salute you for that. But I am talking about these women who sacrifice everything to ensure that their children or child has all of their basic needs and more, not just financially, but emotionally, intellectually, spiritually holy. These are the women who I stand tall, tintoes down, and I salute today on this day, but not just this day, but I salute you all every day. But since this is recognized as holiday for you, this day, we celebrate you because

3:00 you see, it starts with mama. What do you mean, Oh, it starts with mama. Tupacs said, it best we get our name from my mama. We came from my mama. We get our gain from my woma. He said, it best we come from you me being a father and a parent. And I'll I'm I'll never min him. I can never minimize the fact or the the the importance of a dad. And I'm gonna get into that next month when I sued our brothers, my fellow fathers for Father's Day. Be on the lookout for that episode, by the way, right here on currently under construction. Nice plug segway into that. But seriously, I'm not trying to minimize that. But all of a child's first feelings, emotions, sensitory reactions to things and everything come for Mamma. Now I

4:39 felt about it, disagrees with that. You more than happy to come debate me about that at any given time. I mean, I'd be a woman. But I know that much we come from you. You name us. You carried us around for nine months inside of you. Every bit of nourishment that you get, we got everything you heard we did. Also, every bit of the first feelings of love that we felt inside of you came from you. And although you bringing us in, are at the closest point of losing your life to bring us here, and the pain and the anguish and all that you go through to bring us here, to see and hold us when we first come out, it's a joy like no other. I may not remember my own, I doubt anybody would, And if you do,

6:11 you are you are beyond the genius if you remember that. But I've seen it with my own the joy in that and the mother's eyes to know that all of the pain and everything, the labor that I've been through, not just at this time of labor to bring you here, but the nine must leading up to this point are in completion. In bringing this wonderful new life, this wonderful new person into this world. I can empathize with it, but I don't know what that joy's like in itself. But me seeing it, I can imagine that most children's first words a mama. So I'm do say dad first. My daughters can test to that because their first words were dad. But most children their first words a mama. Not to veer off for a second, but I'm just gonna just just just I just want to give you I'm not trying to go too deep right now, Cousins of king folks, I'm not. I just want to just just set this stage here for if you just let me, if you just walk with me, I promise you I'm I'm I'm I'm gonna make it all makes sense. But if

I don't want to use the situation in making my point, but I just I just want to give you an idea and and and and respect to these these individuals, condolences to them and their families and their loved ones. But if I'm not gonna even name the person, if we think about some of the situations that we've seen over the last few years of individuals who were in uncompromising situations, and who were the first people that they called mama? Who is the last? That's that's the first person they called mama? Who is the last? Some of them called mama when you was in school, when we were in school, like in elementary school, and we know kids are cruel, kids, teasing everything like that, But when you're in school, you can talk about a child.

9:13 You can talk about anything about anybody. You can talk about them that close, what they had on, you can talk about their daddy. But what said, what, what? What names? What words? Sets each child off? That makes that situation escalate from being something in fun to something serious. Talk about that child, mama. That's a that's a fight, that's a fight, that's a whole fight. Tell me I'm lying. Tell me I'm lying. Cousins and king folks, tell me I'm lying. I don't care what you said about that child that whole time. Say something about that child, mamma, that's a whole fight for the scrap right then at that moment, ain't that there's no more talking again. I'm not a bored I'm not promoting violence. I'm just trying to get you to see what Mama means.

10:09 It's how powerful Mama is. Mama. Mama is the one that when you get sick, she's worried about you the most. Mama is the one that trying to make sure that you got socks on your feet, that you're borm, that you're that you're okay, that you're taking your medicine properly and everything like that, that you got something to eat, that you got something and your sister. That's Mama. That's Mama. Mama's the one that, no matter what you've done that could be deemed disrespectful, first thing, Mama's still gonna say, that's still my baby. Huh, tell me Eline, tell me Aline, cousin. Looking folks, that's Mama. Mama is the one that and Grandma too, But say Grandma's still an extension of Mama.

11:22 Grandma's still an extension of Mama. But if you out there in the world, who's only needs every night praying, that's you all right, that's Mama. That's Mama. Mama will be there when nobody else is there. Mama, it's still epitome of love. Mama is the second closest thing. Two.

12:09 It's the closest thing that we can get as humans to God's love. Mama's. It's the closest thing that we can get to that Mama loves unconditionally. It takes a lot for Mama not to love you, or for Mama to wash her hands of you. It takes a lot. Mama's the one that's making sure that you eat and you're good. But she hadn't eaten anything that day, but just to make sure that you are all right. Mama is the one that is run around with clothes that they've been patched up, that they've been sewn together here or there. Oh that's old and faded.

13:18 Why are you still running around with new shoes, new jeans, new slacks, new shirts, or whatever the case may be. That's Mama neglect herself to make sure that you have clean clothes. You have new clothes, you have food, you have electricity, you have water, you have gas, you have a roof over your head. You're a safe place to stay that's mama. Mama will cut for you when nobody else will cut for you.

14:00 Huh, that's mama. It's unmatched cousins and kin folks, and Mama always isn't even birth mama. Some mamas are aunties, some mammas are grandma, some mammas are step mama's. Some mamas are bonus mamas. I'm gonna stop there for sick. What do you mean bonus mama? Well, this is this is what I mean, bonus mama. Cousins and kin of folks.

14:52 That she has developed a motherly bond with you, and she does for you as if you was her own child. That she would discipline you as if you was one of her own childs, that she would admonished she when you was down bad, like he was one of your own child. And when she will sit down and love on you and make sure that you eat and make sure that you're good like she birth you. Oh yeah, oh yeah, they do that. They out there. They exist, trust me. I know. I got two of them. I got two of them.

15:37 One of them is my sister. She is my sister, but she was just like a mother. She's like a mother to me. And when she tells me, so I take it to her. I listen, you know, because she helped raise me. She poured into me. She got into me when I was down bad. She let be no, hey, your own baby brother, sich means I had clothes, Sichman said, I had food, whatever the case may be. But she was my big sister at the same time. She's a bonus mom to me, still is, and I love her dealing. So when you have these people in your lives, cousins and kin folks that will pour into you that way, you hold onto them. You hold onto them. Now, for those of you who are blessed enough to still have your mama in this world, on this earth and this plane of existence, however you believe, love on her, cherish her, not just on this this this Mother's day, but each day. Love

You're gonna miss her because there's nothing like There's nothing like Mama, There is not, I'm here to tell you. So you appreciate her each and every day and for my cousins and king folks that are out there that um, your mother's no longer here like me. I love you all.
