I want to thank you so much for joining me. Thank you for those of you who have supported me. I know we've been on an extremely long hiatus. It's a lot was going on with your cousin. I know we was on a slight hiatus before we came back. There's a few things we needed to take care of, especially sponsor wise, but hey, we are still here. We are back.

Thank you for being the surrogate mothers you both have been for me and praying for me, praying over me, just encouraging me here and there, not just them, but just even all of you, cousins and Ken folks, because that's what we do. That's what we are. We are a family, this is a community, and this is what it's all about. This is one of the reasons of why I started Currently under Construction,

This is the reason Curly under Construction it's still in existence here now, on this day, in twenty twenty four, six later. Can you believe that we have been here doing this thing for six seasons. I'm amazed, I truly am. I'm just I can't thank God enough to God, praise God from whom all blessings flow. Because all of our blessings fow from the Most High. And y'all know as well as I do, I'm Without the Most High, I am nothing.

3:26 I will always give the Most High the glory because without him, wouldn't be here. Without him, that wouldn't be a currently under construction without him, where we wouldn't wake up each day. Without the Most High, we wouldn't still be in our right mind and still having all of our giving faculties, and so much more so, again, I am still super pumped, so grateful, so grateful to the Most High that I am still here, that you all are still here, that we are still here together. Season six currently under construction. Man, we have a lot going on. There has been a lot going on. We have so much that's going on, especially in the world right now, gearing up for here in the next few months for the election. Now y'all know, I'm not big on politics.

4:16 I don't talk politics. Right now, we have the opportunity for the first African American woman on the ballot to be elected to the office of President of the United States. Now we all know how this came into being. I'm not gonna rehash anything. I'm not gonna deal too deep into it. All I'm gonna say is, however you vote, cousins and ken folks, I'm not gonna tell you which way to vote. Just make sure that you vote, make sure that you know when understand the fact that your vote counts. Make sure you do and understand that you get all of the information, not some of this rhetoric that's been running around on the Internet or through these some of these blogs or some of these off the wall lives and and post that we see some people posting through social media, whether it's on I G. Whether it's on X, whether it's on TikTok or whatever the case may be. Not that, but gather your information and make the vote that that work, that that counts for you, because we are at a critical junction, not just in this world, Cousins of Ken Folks, but definitely in this country.

5:24 We're at a critical junction. So I employ you. For those who don't think that your vote doesn't count, it does. So I need and want you to get out there and vote, Cousins of Ken Folks. Now, I'm gonna have a few episodes down the line coming up that will make that may get a little bit more in debt again, you know, politics is not my thing, but we're gonna get a little more in debt into that later on here in the season, before the election and around the election time. But right now, I just want to implore you get out and vote to ensure that your vote does count. Do you hear me, Cousins of Kinfolks. I need you to know when I understand this and always again we're back since season season six, episode one of currently under construction. Man, I am so pumped Cousins the Kin Folks to be back with you. Are you have no idea? But maybe you do? Maybe you truly do have any idea. Well, guess what's coming up? Your cousins born day is coming up. Your cousins born day is coming up. I'm not gonna say when, but you it's really really close. It's closer than you think. And I am grateful, so grateful to the Most High to still be here, to say half a hundred fifty, that milestone,

6:58 to be fifty. There's a huge milestone man or woman. But i'm'a more so say so, especially for me because I've I've gone through a lot. I've endured a lot, and the Most High still saw fit for me to still be here, to be grateful to see fifty. Before I go into further, I wanna send a shout out to one of my fellow classmates. We lost her not long ago. I wanna send a shout out to her family and her loved ones in my entire class, Washington High School class of nineteen ninety two, and we lost our beloved Latanya. She was the backbone of our class. Uh.

8:01 She always had a a wonderful smile to give warm big heart. She she organized everything as far for my c for as far as our class, uh, anything dealing with the alumni t shirts for homecoming, making sure we had a spot for uh tailgating for homecoming. Uh. She did a lot of that, you know, and never asked for anything. But she did a lot of that because she loved her classmates, she loved us, because we're family, and she did it so selfishly. Even when she wasn't feeling her best, she still did so. So I just wanted to send a shout out to her and sending in positive vibes to her daughter, to her family, to her loved ones, and again to all of my classmates.

8:59 Washington High School class of nineteen ninety two. We got to do better. Class, We definitely have to do better. I'm just not talking about any person in particular, even myself have to do better. We're still family. We are still family, and we need to act accordingly. So I love you all and there's nothing you can do about it, and I'm gonna continue to love each and every last one of you. For all of you who are part of my class. Tore at the sound of my voice, listening to this podcast at whatever time that you are listening to it, whether you listening to it right now as it publishes, or you listen to a replace somewhere down the line. I love you and there's nothing and I do mean nothing that you can do about it.

9:55 You hear me? All right? All right? Season six currently under construction. Man, I am so excited. I am so hyped. Listen, cousins of ken folks. I again, I just got a little deep in the moment. I want to get get a little more deep and get a little real with you again. Here are real quick, you know, because this is a p s A. And I need you to be aware of that. Needs you to be on on on point on this. I need you to hear me. I've talked about it before, but it's it's it's very well uh needed to be rehashed. And of course with the new things that's going on with it, I need you to listen to me. It needs you to pay attention, especially my my, my, my female cousins and kinfolks. I need you all to be on this more than anything.

10:46 These groups of people who are out to traffic people, they're they're they're they're they're changing their tactics, they're changing their tactics, they're changing up their tactics. They're still working in groups, but they're changing their tactics. And again they're hanging around, so hanging around stores like Walmart, Target, Krogers, all the publics if you have a Publix in your particular area, Giant, if you have a Giant in your particular area. These type of supermarkets, even mall parking lots and whatnot. You know, uh, you know they're not that many, you know, malls that are open nowadays, but you know these you know mini miles that the strips, you know, they have a lot of stores in them or whatnot.

11:34 You know, we need you all to pay attention to my cousins and ken folks because that they're they're getting slicks. So now they're you know, uh, blowing things that powder in your face and then another person comes along like that, there'll help you, but they're walking you off. They're putting money on the ground with some type of powder or something in it. You know, because most people most have come on. Now, let's let's keep it real. Most of us. If we see money laying on the ground that looks like you know, a twenty a couple of other couple of dollar bills, we're gonna pick. We're gonna be down and we're gonna pick it up. But that's the whole setup. There watching the whole time, and they're not far off. Again, they're working in tandem, you know, So when you're going in the stores and you're on your phone or whatnot, you know, whether you're you know, scrolling while you're walking through the store, or you're on the phone physically, you know, they're paying attention to that and they're walking, you're following you around as to whether you buy yourself or whether you're with your kids or whatever. These are things that they're doing. They're they're watching that that. They have a person or two walking in tandem looking at you. And it's not just me, and they are women involved in this also they're watching you. There's another one. There's a couple more in the stores to the exits, you know, going out, and of course someone in the car, maybe a few others. But it needs you to be on the lookout for that. Always pay attention to your surround us.

12:53 Be on your phone when you're going in these stores as little as possible if you have to. If you if you're looking at your list, going to look at it, get what you needed, come on out, but always cousins. The kin folks. Pay attention to your surroundings. When you go down different aisles, look and see who's fallow, use who's around you. If they have a bugget or a hand a hand basket, they're picking anything up, because a lot of times they might be looking at something, they're not picking anything up. So if you see someone and you're going from aisle to aisle and then you see these people following you and they don't have anything or bug or anything, cousins the kinfolks, get out of there.

13:37 Get out of that quickly as possible. If you're afraid to go to your car. If you're driven pretty far off, hey stop buying security or store manager, asking someone walk you out to your car. Don't go out by yourself. This is what they look to do, and this is what they look to happen. Try to catch you going in the bathrooms or whatever or not. If you're going in the bathrooms, you have the kids with you, bring them with you, take them in with you. I don't care boiled girl, take them in there with you. Don't leave your kids out there for one of them. Snatch and take your kids, girl or boy, doesn't matter that snatching little boys as well as girls. Also they're snatching a smaller frame young men, a small framed women. These are who they're looking. They're they're looking to easily grab up.

14:26 So be on the lookout, cousins, king folks, I am imploring you, please please, when you're going into the stores, uh and and and you're out and about, pay attention to your surroundings. Always try to park as closely to you as you can, as as close as you can to it. Never you know, be a lookout for these strange vehicles that have super dark tints on them, or a van with the like it has doesn't have any women's be on the lookout for these. Be to look out for them. And if you come to the store one way, don't go back the same way you can.

15:10 It's catch they trying to get and follow you because a lot of them do. What they're also doing on top of that is if they can't get you in the store, they'll and and they'll try to put an air tag or something like that on your vehicle to try to follow you home, or they'll just get out there and try to get behind you and follow your homes to go a different route. You have an iPhone or anything of that nature. Cousins and ken folks, you know there's an app or there's software that's available that you can use to check to see if somebody's put an air tag in one of your wheelwheels or underneath your vehicle. Be on the lookout for these things, cousins and kin folks. I am imploring you. They're changing their tactics.

15:50 They're trying to get more and more slick, and I need you well to be as safe as you possibly can. Cousins a kin folks, you hear me. I love you, and I want you all to be able to go do your shopping, go if you're out and about, hanging with your friends, going to have coffee, going to happy hour, whatever the case may be. I want you to be able to go and do these things safely and not have to worry about someone stalking you to try or your babies to try to snatch you all up. Be on a lookout also when you go into bars and you have drinks, be careful of drinks that you may except from people that you know are strangers, or if they're bringing it straight from the bartender or they say they bring it front the bar and they gotta have it in their hand. Be careful on that. Don't drink those drinks. There's nothing wrong with you accepting a drink from someone who may be on the up and up and just want to buy you a drink. But watch the bartender and pouring it. You know, you say, yeah, I'll go to the bar with you if you want to drink. Yeah, I go to the bar with you, and I'll watch the bartender pour my drink. And don't let them do a bait and switch on you get you know, have a friend with them and they try to distract you while the others try to pour something into your drink. Again, just be on the lookout for me, cousins, the kin folks. You know, I'm not trying to horrorfy anybody or scare anybody, but that is a scary situation.

17:17 And I just want and meet you all to be okay and to be careful, be on the lookout. School starting back and and I know a lot of you as parents are ready ready for your kids to go back to school. You had of all summer. But what I want to implore for you to do and then we're gonna have a couple of guests on who are educators, and we're gonna have a couple of guests on this season who are educators, and they're gonna we're gonna get some feedback from them and everything. So well, I want to employ your cousins and kin folks. Let's do better in working with our educators. You know, I know a lot of things have changed and it's a lot going on, but let's get back to teachers and parents working together.

18:12 Let's get back to that. That's the way it's supposed to be, not us parents telling the telling our kids. Well, for teacher to tell you this this that they're you don't listen to you just walk out the class or whatever. Not, that's not the way that works. Or we're trying to put everything on the teachers for them to or the educates for them to raise our children because we're there in our here and they've gotten on our nerves and we're just trying to get rid of them. No, let's get back to how it's supposed to be. Let's get back to teachers and educators and the counselors all working together for the benefit of the our kids and the community itself. Let's get back to that. But again, we're gonna get more and more into that as a couple of educators that we're gonna have on the show later this season. We're gonna get with them. We're gonna talk about that. We're gonna talk about some of the things that we're seeing, things that they may want to implement, things that we can possibly look into educating each other on and working together for the benefit of our kids, because what it's all about, it's all about educating them.

19:15 It's all about them going in doing what they can so they can be the best that they can be growing up in this world that we live in right now. So I need you to get with me on that. Cousins and kenn of folks. Also, we got coming up. We have our Christmas get up giveaway coming up. Oh yes, yes, yes, we're a few months earlier, but I am thinking about it. We are going to We're going to be it's going to be bigger this year than it's ever been. We are feeding ten families this year. Yes, you hurt me, ten families this year. We are feeding ten families this year, five local, regional, five national. We're gonna go into that We're gonna get into the details a little later on this season, but just know it's coming. It's gonna be bigger than ever, and you don't want to miss it.

20:11 You want to make sure that you do what you can to be a part of it, or to ensure that someone you know that ma can benefit from what can be a part of it.
